I know. Suddenly the gym seems like your version of Hell, your room is messy and you just can’t keep up with it, you want to go to the bar so bad but you promised yourself a 4.0 this semester…so how do you stay on track and not completely fall apart?
The truth is, most of you have already ditched your resolutions. I’m not here to yell at you about it. I’m here to help you get back on track.
First things first: reconsider your goals. If you gave up on them, did you want them that bad? Maybe you did, maybe you didn’t. Either way be honest with yourself.
- What was your reason for this resolution in the first place? Sum it up in one sentence. What was the reason you wanted to achieve this goal?
- What was the reason you gave up? Did seeing other people at the gym discourage you? Did life get too busy
- What do you need to change to get back on track? Write down 3 changes you could make to help.
- Break it down. Take your goal and make 5 miniature goals to reach before January 1st. (I make monthly goals so I have fresh motivation for each month!)
Prepare to wow yourself with how well you stick to your resolution. Good luck!
